One of the most respected financial journalists of his generation, his career spans more than 30 years in newspapers including The Scotsman, The Daily Mail, The Guardian and The Sunday Telegraph.
He was City Editor of The Observer for 11 years and became an Assistant Editor and a Director of the newspaper in 1987 before taking up the post of City Editor of The Times in 1993. He subsequently spent two years at issues management consultancy Luther Pendragon before joining Cardew in 1998.
