Chris joined stockbrokers Phillips & Drew in 1968, where he later became a partner. From 1984 - 1991 he was head of the UBS UK Smaller Companies Sales team, and subsequently Small Cap Corporate Broking until he left in 1999. He moved to  Benfield Advisory, a boutique organisation which specialises in corporate finance. Currently Chris is non-executive chairman of Alexandra plc, and Framlington AIM VCT 2 PLC. He is non-executive director of CVS Group plc,Gaming Ventures plc and Hilton Food Group plc.
